We need your URGENT help to protect the River Camac Greenway

Without large public support the greenway route could be forever lost to thoughtless development by a government agency. You can help prevent that.

The greenway will connect key destinations in the Kilmainham area such as Heuston station, IMMA, St. James' Hospital and Kilmainham Gaol. It will provide a safe and friendly pedestrian and cycle only route for locals and visitors to our city. Find out why the greenway is important.

The Office of Public Works is about to destroy the River Camac Greenway route with a development. There is still time to preserve the greenway route. We urgently need residents, local workers, business owners, cyclists and walkers to come out in support of the greenway route. You can learn more about the proposed development.

The deadline for submissions against the current proposal is Monday the 12th of February. That's in last than a week! We urgently need people to do four things:

1. Sign the petition

Sign the petition to publicly show your support for the greenway.

2. Spread the word

Spreading the word about the greenway is easiest thing you can do to support the greenway. Talk to your neighbours, friends and colleagues. Post on Twitter and Facebook. Getting more people involved helps  protect the greenway.

3. Contact your local politicians

Call your local politicians and tell them you support the greenway. We need more local politicians to come out in support of the greenway. You can find the full contact information for local politicians on whoismytd.com. Here's a full list of the Kilmainham local politicians and their contact information.

4.Write a submission to OPW before Friday 9th February 2018

This is by far the most impactful thing you can do to support the greenway in Kilmainham. Planning submissions from local residents, business owners, cyclist and walkers are the best way to change the mind of the planning authority. We can convince planners with all of our submissions. Writing a planning submission is not as tricky as you might think. We can always help you through the process.

Check out our page for creating a submission before the deadline.

It is important that the submission is received by OPW office in St Stephen's Green before 5pm Friday 9th of February 2017. Think there's not enough time? Don't worry. Follow this guide to email us your submission, we will print it out and deliver it to OPW before the deadline.
